The Autumn months were marked by a succession of goodbyes.
The funerals were held of
– Dr Martin Warburton, husband of Rosemary Warburton, and former member of Montpelier Place Baptist Church.
– Jenny Long, member of Holland Road Baptist Church, previously dear and longstanding member of Brighton Railway Mission – Jenny had just reached retirement.
– Mike Benwell, father of Argie. Had been coming along to our church, and others, prior to becoming ill with cancer.
– John Wells (aged 95, resident of the Isle of Wight) – father of Pastor Philip Wells.
Our condolences to the bereaved and prayer that God will be the God of all comfort to them. For the believer to depart and be with the Lord is far better (Philippians 1:23)
